On 14th June, Scott and Julia attended the University of Bedfordshire to perform 'Getting Out Of Your Own Way' to the academic staff and postgraduate students. This was a fanastic opportunity to promote the project and obtain feedback from a different academic institution.

Notes from Scott

"On arrival at the Bedford Campus, we were met by Imogen (Jen) Aujla who introduced us to technicians Alex Perry and Jamie Spirito. Everyone made us feel very welcome! After an hour or so of technical rehearsal we had a couple of dress rehearsals before the performance at 3:30pm.

We had some very interesting responses from the audience of staff and postgraduate students which reflected their interest in our movement and textual strategies. The discussion also gave us a great deal to think about in terms of how the work was framed, in particular thinking about its journey from the clinical research that provided its initial inspiration into the fully-fledged artistic work it has become, and its relationship to the therapeutic strand of the project.

Many thanks to Jen, Jane Carr and other colleagues for their invitation and their valuable contributions."
